Who we are
This policy explains how Aurich Beauty collects, uses, and protects your personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for customers in Québec, Law 25.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email, shipping address, optional phone number, the items you buy, and your order history with us.
- Payment: card and wallet details are entered directly into Stripe's secure form and never reach our servers. We only see the payment status and the last digits Stripe shows us.
- When you write to us: your name, email, and message.
- Marketing consent: if you tick the box at checkout or sign up for our newsletter, we record that you agreed, when, and where, as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires.
- Site use: cookie-free, aggregate statistics about which pages are visited (Vercel Web Analytics), and short-lived technical logs kept by our hosting providers (such as IP address and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use advertising trackers.
Cookies
We use three small, essential cookies: one keeps your shopping cart, one lets the order confirmation page show your order details in the browser that placed the order, and one briefly remembers the status of a payment (for up to a week if an order could not be completed) so checkout can tell you what happened. On the checkout page, Stripe sets its own fraud-prevention cookies (__stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) so it can detect stolen cards. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
To process, ship, and support your orders, send order and shipping emails, handle returns and refunds, keep the records the law requires, and—only if you agreed—send you marketing emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the shop, for those purposes:
- Stripe (payments), Canada Post (shipping), Resend (order emails), Vercel (website hosting and statistics), and Cloudflare (network and security for our store systems).
Some of these providers may store information outside Canada, for example in the United States. We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept as long as tax law requires (generally six years). Marketing consent is kept until you unsubscribe, plus the period needed to prove consent.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@aurichbeauty.com.
